Orange Regional Medical Center

Orange Regional Medical Center (ORMC) is comprised of the Arden Hill Campus in Goshen, NY and Horton Campus in Middletown, NY, offering a combined 450 beds to its patients.

ORMC retained IHC to assist with the development of its physician strategy and physician profitability programs.  Specifically, IHC assisted with the merging and re-engineering of several Ob/Gyn practices, resulting in a significant increase to the bottom line and the continued viability of these community-based Ob/Gyn practices.  IHC also reviewed and developed an expansion strategy for general surgery.  Finally, IHC mounted a comprehensive review of ORMC’s contracted radiology group, resulting in a series of recommendations for both the group and medical center to increase productivity and ultimately revenues.  Specifically, we facilitated a creative risk-based contract between ORMC and the radiology group, finding significant financial opportunities, comprised of both revenue increases and expense decreases, for the group.  These recommendations are currently in the process of being implemented.
