Beth Israel Medical Center, one of five area hospitals that comprise Continuum Health Partners, retained IHC to perform an assessment of their Spine Institute.

Care is provided by seven orthopedic physicians at the Spine Institute, addressing the needs of individuals with congenital, acute and chronic spinal disorders as well as the pain and discomfort associated with common back problems.  The clinical staff of the Spine Institute is recognized as some of the finest in their medical field. 

IHC's assessment included a review and benchmarking of physician productivity, operations, billings, medical coding and collections.  Our findings determined that a bottom line improvement of $1.0 million was attainable through reorganization.  IHC has successfully completed an implementation of our recommendations, exceeding the original improvement estimate.

The Spine Institute has recently retained IHC to develop an industry-leading website.  This project will entail building an interactive site which will provide educational information, give patients on-line access to forms and pre- or post-operative instructions, and provide access for refills and billing information.
